    A musical performance and lecture series presented by Sonosphere in collaboration with Crosstown Arts.

    Join us on Saturday, December 8th for a panel discussion and performance by Nicole Mitchell, a creative flutist, composer, and educator whose music celebrates African American culture while reaching across genres and integrating new ideas with moments in the legacy of jazz, gospel, experimentalism, pop and African percussion.

    Before the concert, a panel of Memphis artists will discuss the topic of "Afrofuturism: Building Communities." The panel includes James Dukes, Danian Jerry, Troy L. Wiggins, and Sheree Renée Thomas.

  • Open Crit

    Crosstown Arts’ Open Crit series is a monthly critique event where visual artists are invited to bring new and/or in-progress studio work for critical feedback and group discussion particular to each artist’s practice. All sessions are free and open to the public. Special thanks to Art Center for donating a $25 gift certificate for each participating artist.
