    Crosstown Arts, Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital, and the University of Tennessee Health Science Center (UTHSC) present the 7th annual Art of Science exhibition.

    Local artists are paired up with medical research scientists and doctors from across Memphis. Together, scientists and artists create work that introduces new audiences to the science that is saving children’s lives everyday in Memphis.

    Named after the infamous South Louisiana swamp rat, Nutria performs original contemporary jazz music with an emphasis on collective improvisation. Their compositional and improvisational practice at once pushes at the boundaries of instrumental music in the 21st century and situates the music within the lineage of New Orleans jazz and groove traditions.

    This will be White's first solo show. White is an avid traveler, and Yearning Horizons is a new body of work inspired by her travel experiences. The show is produced and curated by IntrepidArts.

    The exhibition will open on Friday, June 26 from 6-8 pm, and the show will be on view Saturday, June 27, 10 am-1 pm.
