Book Launch for Revolution in Black and White: Photographs for the Civil Rights Era
Crosstown Theater 1350 Concourse Ave., Memphis, TN, United StatesThe Withers Collection is hosting the official book launch and signing for Revolution in Black and White: Photographs for the Civil Rights Era by Ernest Withers on Tuesday, Nov. 12 from 6-8 pm at Crosstown Theater.
Doors open at 6 pm in the theater for a booksigning and slideshow, followed by a panel discussion at 6:30 pm with Richard Cahan, Michael Williams, and Rosalind Withers. Moderated by Emmy-nominated journalist and author, Katina Rankin, evening anchor for WATN-TV Local 24.

Listening Sessions at the Green Room: McLemore Avenue by Booker T. & The MGs (1970)
Crosstown Arts, The Green Room 1350 Concourse Ave., Suite 280, Memphis, TN, United StatesJoining series host Dr. Charles Hughes (Rhodes College) will be members of the MDs, a Memphis-based Booker T. & the MGs tribute band that performed the entire McLemore Avenue album at the Stax Museum in 2017. This October, the band rearranged another Beatles classic, Revolver, for a capacity Crosstown Arts crowd.
