Memphis Mix feat. Susan Marshall at The Green Room
Crosstown Arts, The Green Room 1350 Concourse Ave., Suite 280, Memphis, TN, United StatesEnjoy an evening of familiar hits from the Stax and Hi Records catalogues performed by a select group of the finest musicians in the city and fronted by one of Memphis' premiere vocalists, Susan Marshall. This show is a bon voyage of sorts for this all-star group of Memphis musicians before they head overseas to perform at the Memphis in Poland festival.
Joining Susan on stage will be Marcin Arendt, Peewee Jackson, Heather Trussell, Sam Shoup, Rebecca Arendt, Harold Smith, and special guests. This performance will be recorded for broadcast on Memphis own internationally syndicated radio program, Beale Street Caravan.

Pecha Kucha: Resident Artist Talk
Crosstown Arts, East Atrium 1350 Concourse Ave., Suite 280, Memphis, TN, United StatesCrosstown Arts summer session resident artists Lucy McKeon, Steve Bellin-Oka, Nick Peña, Pamela Allen, and Pete Hoffecker Mejía will present artist talks in the Pecha Kucha style.
The key to Pecha Kucha is the 20×20 format: all presenters show 20 slides for 20 seconds each, making each presentation concise and dynamic. If you’re wondering what “Pecha Kucha” means, it draws its name from the Japanese term for the sound of “chit chat.”
