  • Optic Sink and Yazan Fahmawi at The Green Room

    Hear Crosstown Arts resident artists Natalie Hoffmann (Optic Sink) and Yazan Fahmawi in a special performance at the Green Room. 

    Optic Sink is a new post-punk/electronic collaboration between Natalie Hoffmann of Nots and Ben Bauermeister of A55 Conducta / DJ Damp Velour. 

    Yazan is a singer, guitarist, and songwriter originally from New York, playing a blend of country blues, folk, and psychedelia.

The Mystic is hosted by a rotating panel including Rabbi Micah Greenstein, Chris Miner, Dr. Scott Morris, Dr. Sonia Walker and Kirk Whalum.

    Join us in The Green Room for a performance by Rescue Animals, a sextet comprised of some of Memphis' finest musicians: Scott Thompson, trumpet; Art Edmaiston, sax; Pee Wee Jackson, drums; Joe Restivo, guitar; Paul Taylor, bass; Pat Fusco, keys.

    Rescue Animals mixes influences from Freddie Hubbard, Woody Shaw, Willie Mitchell, Jaco Pastorius, and other shared musical heroes in an improvisational setting, incorporating a "straight ahead" vocabulary into the harmonies and rhythms of R&B, Soul, Latin and Gospel music.
