Youth Zine-Making Workshop
Crosstown Arts at Crosstown Concourse 1350 Concourse Avenue, Suite 280, Memphis, TN, United StatesTHIS WORKSHOP HAS REACHED CAPACITY! Please join us for Memphis Zine Fest on Friday, July 19 though! Free and open to the public.
During this week-long course, students will learn about the origin of zines, how to develop their ideas into a tangible product, and how to flex their social skills muscles. At the end of the week, students are given the opportunity to sell their wares at Memphis Zine Fest.
Taught by local artist and Zine Fest curator Erica Qualy.
We provide all of the basic supplies they’ll need to get started, they just need to bring their ideas. Classes run Monday July 15 - Friday July 19 from 2:30-5:00 pm (with the option of students sticking around and selling their wares at Zine Fest on Friday July 19 from 5-8 pm).

Memphis Zine Fest V

For one night only, come out and see what your favorite local zine makers have been creating this year and check out brand new zines from the students in our youth zine making workshop.
This year’s fest will take place on Friday July 19th in the Crosstown Concourse Central Atrium from 5-8 pm. As always, this is a free and all ages event, so feel free to bring your friends, your kids, and your grandparents.

For Now Jazz Quintet & Gary Topper Group at The Green Room

The Gary Topper Group will open the show. Wandering carefully between genres, For Now performs compositions influenced by modern jazz, contemporary classical music, visual art, and poetry. Fueled by an unending curiosity, they explore the personal and the political, turning complex situations into musical vignettes.
