    A regional quilt challenge in conjunction with Stitched: The Art of Quilting. The BLUE challenge features over 230 quilts in blue made by quilters and artists from the Mid-South. This event is in conjunction with Stitched: Celebrating the Art of Quilting — a festival at Crosstown Arts with art exhibitions, public quilting workshops, and a Gathering of the Guilds showcase. Stitched runs from May 10-July 28, 2019.

    Please join Indie Memphis and Crosstown Arts for a Shoot & Splice panel discussion on Southern Music Documentaries.

    Panelists include filmmakers from The Southern Documentary Project, Mary Knight (SINGING OUT), Rex Jones (BEAUTIFUL JIM), and John Rash (NEGRO TERROR). Moderated by photographer and producer Andrea Morales, the panelists will discuss various aspects of producing music documentaries; from building relationships with musicians to representing diversity in music in the south.     Fat Possum Records & No Sudden Movements present Memphis ’69 in Crosstown Theater. This concert documentary, shot over 3 days in June of 1969, celebrates an American art form that unites us all. Featuring Bukka White, Furry Lewis, Fred McDowell, and so many more. Memphis '69 first premiered at Slamdance 2019 in Park City, Utah.
