Born and raised in the vibrant city of Memphis during the ’80s, Anthony Q’s musical journey was shaped by the rich and diverse sounds of the era. Growing up, he was surrounded by the influence of his father, a talented background singer who toured with the legendary Prince during his World Tour. These early experiences ignited Anthony Q’s passion for music and set him on a path toward creating his unique sound.
Inspired by the soulful harmonies of the boy band era in the ’90s, with artists like H-Town, Silk, and Jagged Edge resonating deeply with him, Anthony Q discovered his love for R&B and hip-hop. He honed his vocal skills and developed a distinctive style that blended the smoothness of R&B with the raw energy of hip-hop, creating a sound that captured the essence of both genres.
At the start of his career, Anthony Q joined a singing group that toured extensively across Tennessee, showcasing their talents and captivating audiences with their performances. With the support of his brother Vincent Jr., a prominent promoter in Tennessee, Anthony Q gained exposure and established a name for himself in the local music scene.
