Join us for a cozy acoustic show on a cold winter night. Bailey Bigger returns to Crosstown Arts to play songs off of her previous records, Coyote Red and Resurrection Fern, as well as new unreleased music, in an acoustic, intimate setting. Joined by Mark Edgar Stuart, Wyly Bigger, Sarah Spain, and other special guests, it will be an evening of story telling, legend and folklore, winter imagery, and harmonies. Come in from the cold and listen.

With her haunting, pure voice, and her honest, nature-centered songwriting, Bailey Bigger brings a sense of wonder and purity to the folk music scene. Hailing from the small southern delta town of Marion, Arkansas, Bigger grew up creating her own magical tales out in nature, writing short stories of dream-like worlds from the branches of her favorite magnolia tree. When she began writing music at the age of six, these stories translated to song, beginning the evolution of her journey as a songwriter.

The 26 year old singer/songwriter/instrumentalist has collected back to back nominations at the Arkansas Country Music Awards, been named Songwriter of the Year in Memphis, won Audience-Favorite music video at Indie Film Fest, and has had six songs featured on TrueSouth on SEC Television. Bigger has traveled the country over the last five years, enchanting audiences with her unreplicable voice and authentic songwriting. She has shared stages and festival lineups with Sierra Ferrell, The Local Honeys, The Avett Brothers, and toured alongside Joe Purdy and Trampled by Turtles. Bailey’s voice has graced the stages of Red Rocks Amphitheater, The Bluebird Cafe, Georgia Theater, and many festivals including FloydFest, Americanafest, and Memphis in May.

Much inspired by her own heritage, folklore of the land surrounding her, and her connection to the natural world, Bailey’s writing takes the listener on a journey through the seasons, and the cycles of death that we, and the earth, face every year, leaning into the mystery of the unknown, human emotions, and the wild nature within us all.
