Louis Michot, the two-time Grammy award winner, fiddle player and singer for Lost Bayou Ramblers, is celebrating the release of his debut solo album, “Rêve du Troubadour” with intimate solo performances. Alongside his progressive approach to the sonic evolution of modern folk music, Louis’ passion for Louisiana’s cultural and ecological sustainability fuel his songwriting, and his music career continues to push the boundaries of the Louisiana French music traditions.
Louis’ solo performances focus on the stories behind his original music and the history behind the wealth of traditional music he pulls from. He delivers a full sonic palate of sounds between his vocals, guitar, and fiddle, and accompanies the songs with foot-stomping triggered percussive elements and effects. Louis draws listeners in for an intimate experience that gives insight into the songs and sounds that have characterized his multi-decade trajectory of bringing Louisiana French music to an international stage.

Spend a cozy Sunday evening with multi-hyphenate musician David Ryan Harris! Harris first rose to fame as front man for the seminal Atlanta rock band Follow For Now in the late 1980s; after the band’s dissolution in 1994, Harris struck out on his own as a solo artist while also working with singer and former Arrested Development member Dionne Farris. He’s released five solo albums and an EP under his own name, as well as one album as a member of the rock trio Brand New Immortals, and he’s written and produced for a wide range of artists including Zayn, Wanda Jackson, India.Arie, and Hootie & the Blowfish.

Harris recently won an APRA AMCOS for Billions Milestone for his work on Nelly’s 2010 single “Just a Dream,” which recently surpassed one billion streams; he also co-wrote the Guy Sebastian and Lupe Fiasco collaboration “Battle Scars” in 2012, which is certified platinum by the RIAA and went nine times platinum in Australia.

With further in-studio and onstage collaborations with artists like Mariah Carey, Alicia Keys, John Mayer, Dave Matthews, Santana, and more, Harris is constantly collaborating with music’s brightest lights to add his own special touch to their work.

Those Pretty Wrongs celebrated their tenth year as a band with a tour across the U.S., UK, and Australia, promoting their best-reviewed album, Holiday Camp. Mojo described it as “irresistible” due to its “celestial harmonies” and “wrangled emotions,” while Uncut praised its “dreamily autumnal mastery” of power pop.
The partnership between Jody Stephens and Luther Russell began in 1992 but only blossomed into music collaboration a decade ago during the making of the documentary Nothing Can Hurt Me, which focused on the legendary Memphis band Big Star. Their self-titled debut album, released in 2016, garnered acclaim, leading to worldwide tours and the creation of their second album, Zed For Zulu (2019), an earthy exploration of human interaction.
Luther resides in Los Angeles while Jody remains in Memphis, and their collaboration emphasizes a spontaneous approach to music-making. Luther reflects on their journey, stating, “The first record was sort of a little miracle…. But here we are with our third LP out.” Jody’s influence on pop includes his work with Big Star and Golden Smog, while Luther has a storied career as a solo artist and producer, recently recognized in the Oregon Music Hall of Fame. Their harmonious partnership continues to thrive, with plans for a UK tour this September, celebrating a decade of music. Jody emphasizes the rewarding nature of their shared creative experience, involving all who support them.
