After almost 15 years, two records, two eps, thousands of shows, 4 vans, 2 trailers and 20 plus tires the eclectic Memphis based Americana outfit Dead Soldiers are back with their third full length record and their most poised and mature effort to date. Here they continue to build on the influence of unique and irreverent American songwriters like Tom Waits, Randy Newman, Warren Zevon and (mostly Canadians) The Band while crafting something thoroughly modern and in conversation with this current moment in history.

Nashville’s Dallas Ugly (Libby Weitnauer, Owen Burton, and Eli Broxham) is a band of truly trusted friends who – after a decade of playing together – return with their best work yet.
Sitting somewhere between indie rock and Americana and beautifully produced in collaboration with Grammy-winning engineer Justin Francis, their sophomore album See Me Now is contemporary, crisp, and alive. It is a fiddle-filled entry in the current band-with-guitar renaissance that puts them in conversation with acts like MJ Lenderman, Big Thief, and Allegra Krieger while still channelling the sparkly sing-along heights of late 90s radio. The growth of heartache, finding footing in an unstable world, and modern anxiety resonate out in soaring harmony.

Lilli Lewis has composed in every tradition that inspires her, including soul, Americana, hip hop, classical, folk, jazz, rock, gospel, blues, soul and R&B. She integrated elements of New Orleans funk while co-writing and co-producing “Mask Up” in the summer of 2020. After carving out space for herself as an African-American lesbian of size, Lewis has lent her voice to the inclusion and equity in the music industry by speaking in conferences and seminars for Americana Music Association and Folk Alliance International in her role as VP & Head of A&R at Louisiana Red Hot Records. And she’s further sharing her message in the music of her eagerly awaited “Americana” album, following 2019’s critically acclaimed “We Belong.” In all things, Lewis does her best to live by the creed she and her ensemble have become known for: Practice Radical Decency. That’s a belief system we can get behind!

Minimum ticket price is $20 but you can name-your-own price above that if you’re feeling it. 100% of ticket revenue goes to our artists (you can see where any fees go in the check-out breakdown). Yep, all of it. Folk All Y’all is volunteer-run and subscriber-supported. Shows are presented in partnership with Crosstown Arts at The Green Room in Crosstown Concourse.
