Natalie Hoffmann

Natalie Hoffmann is a musician and visual artist residing in Memphis, TN. She is the front woman of local punk trio Nots and recently started performing with her new synth-based project, Optic Sink. Her songwriting strives to deconstruct and critique internalized standards and systems of power. Natalie is deeply influenced by many different genres of music but has a special reverence for DIY movements and is teaching herself to play the synthesizer. She has toured extensively in both Europe and the US with Nots. As a collage artist and a DIY graphic designer, Natalie addresses related themes and has produced artwork both in support of and in dialogue with her music practice.

“My artwork and my songwriting takes a critical look at American culture through my perspective as both a participant and performer.”
