Past Resident
Ivy McLendon
Ivy Sole is a Pan-African artist and theorist exploring popular mythologies of race and gender, exegesis of the ecological formations of queerness at the intersection of class, and more broadly the anthropocene, captivity and capture. They’re interested in the interplay between sound, film and objects (found, formed and sculpted). At the moment, they are completing the research phase of their visual work “Exploitation Index: Affirmations for the Nonhuman”, in which psychographic interviews serve as the basis for a sculptural documentary.
