Eden Wiseman & Ori Dvir

Eden Wiseman & Ori Dvir are an artist/couple based in Israel who began creating together in 2012. Their work spans the fields of scenography, performance, sound, and installation. They focus on encounters between movement, raw materials, and the contrast of abstract sounds and melodies and use these building blocks to construct opportunities to observe the world through changing filters.

Eden mainly practices contemporary dance, improvisation, and sculpture. Ori is a guitar player and composer whose focus is on free improvisation. He combines influences of psychedelic rock, folk, drone, noise, and experimental music. Together, they have presented work at the International Multimedia festival in Yangon, Myanmar,  Spoleto Art Festival in Italy, at The Israel Museum and more.

“Most of our work deals with questions of identity, body, and taboos. It usually draws on visual images and placement. We create an intensive dialogue with the formation of space, the intuitive process and the symbols we use.”
