Danielle Sierra

Danielle Sierra is a visual artist from the small farming town of Avenal in California. She has been artistically vocal in celebrating people of color by participating in shows featuring Latino/Chicano artists and creating murals for institutions and neighborhoods that focus on the people who make up the communities they exist in. Danielle’s work is inspired by the beauty found in the diversity of human beings and God the creator. She combines the human figure with architectural and floral elements with an emphasis on culture, nature, and nostalgia to convey allegorical meaning focused on biblical themes that are relevant in a contemporary context.
