Connor Hopkins is puppet show maker; he writes, designs, builds, directs, and performs, in collaboration with artists in each of those fields. HIs interest in puppets stems from their ability to exist as literal and metaphorical entities simultaneously, and the ways that their fragility embodies life on the precipice of destruction. Primary subjects relate to the history of struggle for social justice, labor rights, and human dignity. And also comedy.
