Christine Yerie Lee
Christine Yerie Lee is a Los Angeles-based artist and designer working in moving image, sculpture, and installation. By engaging with folklore, history, and pop culture, her work addresses personal and collective memory, hybridity, and authenticity. She plays with embodiment as a form of agency, often using her body as a site to articulate ideas concerning resistance to hegemonic power structures in hopes to dream up a future yet to be imagined or narrativized. Through intersectional inquiry, worldbuilding and material exploration, she aims to illuminate the distinct and parallel threads of the human experience to provide pathways for connection.
