artbully

artbully is a Memphis born rap artist, creative, and curator whose message is simple: if life is a playground, then she’s a bully. Artistically — of course, but don’t be surprised if the ease of her lyricism and empowering punchlines put you in a bullish frame of mind. Creating in community sits at the heart of her art, and her art project “Our Art, By Us” seeks to provide space for black art and black artists. Her recent release “Put It In They Face” featuring photographer, Gabrielle Duffie, was the result of her collaborative exhibition called CROSSING that partnered music artists with visual artists to co-create across artistic mediums.

“My music is my art, and I approach it that way. I believe the ability to create is a gift, and I use my gift to affirm myself and my community. I do all things with intention, vulnerability, and consistency.”
