Ali Radell

Alicesun is a Detroit based keyboardist and composer. Her current work is a linear liberation. She is focused on exploring and developing alternative techniques to piano performance, diverging from the western tonal euro centric approach. She has studied Classical Piano Performance at Oakland University and Jazz studies at Wayne State. She has composed and collaborated for the Knight Foundation CORE375 project, artist resident at Blue Mountain, and earned a performance plus grant from Chamber Music America. She has played the Detroit Jazz Fest and many other festivals and venues throughout the midwest. She released her solo album QWINN in 2021, followed by two EPS SFA 2025, and Your Beauty Cuts So Deep Only by Beauty Survived 2026. In addition to her solo works she is co-collaborator creator of experimental band FM Corpus and psychedelic hard rock band Sonic Smut.
