Free and open-to-the-public dress rehearsal for The Break-Up Show: Episode Six. This comedy troupe transforms the indignities of bad dates and break-up drama into the sort of comedy that may make you feel like it was worth the pain.
The Break-Up Show troupe invites everyone to stop in for a behind-the-scenes look at how comedy is born from romantic devastation. Watch a “warts and all” dress rehearsal as they prepare for their February 11th — one-night only — appearance at the New Daisy on Beale Street featuring music by The McStays and Robby. Only the live portions of the show will be rehearsed and, just like in a real rehearsal, the cast will be stopping and starting, messing up, and most likely breaking up (with laughter) for most of the evening. Stop in for a preview!
The rehearsal coincides with the opening of “We Need to Talk,” an open-call exhibition of break-up art and artifacts at 422 N. Cleveland from 5-8 p.m.
