Exploring the beauty of science and the power of art: Local artists paired up with medical research scientists and clinicians from across Memphis.
Together these scientists and artists introduce new audiences to science that is saving lives every day. Local researchers not only strive to prevent and cure childhood illnesses, but are also making discoveries that can improve the health and well-being of all Memphians and people everywhere. Over thirty local artists will present a piece of art inspired by the work of area researchers and clinicians, which will also be on display alongside the works of art. The Art of Science artists create unique portals that enable viewers to peer inside the clinics and laboratories of the renowned facilities at Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital, the University of Tennessee Health Science Center, and St Jude Children’s Hospital.
