About D’Monet:
D’Monet is a singer/songwriter, arranger and vocal coach from Memphis, TN. Originally classically trained to study opera, the skills she acquired from her Alma Mater and HBCU LeMoyne Owen College allowed her to branch out across several genres as a feature on numerous stages, musical sets, and news stations.
Among those include performing as a featured guest of Black Enterprise Magazine’s Women of Summit, performing “Dealing” as a duet with Grammy-nominated Soul Crooner Eric Roberson, and performing background for various mainstream RnB and gospel artists.
She soaks inspiration from artists such as Anita Baker, Oleta Adams, Rachelle Ferrell, Luther Vandross, Stevie Wonder, Lalah Hathaway, and Mint Condition, just to name a few.
The music D’Monet writes, she calls “Alkaline Music” – music that heals. Her intention is to connect with her audience, giving them the space to heal, laugh, enjoy themselves and be free in that moment. She writes music based on real life experiences, with a little mix of creativity in her songs.
About Strictly Jazz:
Strictly Jazz Entertainment is committed to cultivating a growing community in the knowledge and appreciation of jazz. Strictly Jazz Entertainment facilitates dialogue and collaboration between the devoted supporters of jazz and the brand new constituents – those new to the genre – for the furthering of the jazz community.
