Olivia Lichterman will hold a solo show of her paintings. at 430 N. Cleveland. Her work will be on view from 6-9 pm on Friday, April 26 and 10 am-1 pm on Saturday, April 27.
About the artist:
Technically, Lichterman is an art student because she will not graduate from University of Tennessee until May, however, that is where the word “student” begins and ends in connection with her driving creative force. A recipient of the 2018 Kimberly D. Iles Art Award, Lichterman creates 2D paintings, and drawings – as well as 4D “time-based” art.
Her innovative thinking is readily apparent to casual observers as well as art patrons in her choices of media. Even for works on canvas and paper, she terms them drawings regardless of media used. Multiple layers of media are the preferred choice to offer texture and dimension. The result is stunning.
