Out of concern regarding the COVID-19 coronavirus and concerns about health safety for its students, families, Trombone Shorty Foundation Academy students, concertgoers, and others, the Stax Music Academy had decided to postpone its upcoming exchange with the Trombone Shorty Foundation, including the planned March 21, 2020 Memphis vs New Orleans concert at Crosstown Theater. The Stax Music Academy will announce updated plans when possible. We regret any inconvenience.

Stax Music Academy’s 20th Anniversary celebration continues as The Stax Music Academy and Trombone Shorty Foundation join forces to celebrate the indigenous sounds of the world-renowned music cities of Memphis and New Orleans. Enjoy one night of Memphis soul battling it out with New Orleans’ funky jazz at Crosstown Theater.
