  • Cazateatro Youth Bilingual Theater Workshops

    In these theater workshops for kids aged 10 to 12, we will explore the similarities and differences that make cultural styles unique. Your child will enjoy fun, creative, hands-on activities that will leave them yearning to experience more from this bilingual, multicultural setting lead by the cast of Cazateatro. Workshops dates are February 25, March 4 and 25, and April 1, 8, 15, 22, and 29.

    We invite residents and business owners in Crosstown to join us and meet your neighbors as we learn about organic foods, long-term sustainability, and ways to improve mind, body, and spirit at Crosstown Concourse, our very own vertical "organic" village. This month's speakers will include Mama Gaia co-owner Philipp von Holtzendorff-Fehling and Crosstown Arts co-leader Todd Richardson.

  • Shoot & Splice: Stage to Screen with Katori Hall

    Award-winning playwright and filmmaker Katori Hall will discuss her work in theatre, including penning The Mountaintop (2010 Olivier Award for Best New Play), which ran on Broadway and starred Angela Bassett and Samuel L. Jackson. She'll discuss how she made the transition into filmmaking with her debut short film Arkabutla, and she will examine the differences and similarities in creating original work for the stage and screen, as well as how working in each discipline can greatly assist the continuing growth of an artist.
