Location: Screening Room, plus pop-out film panels in the East AtriumPoint in Time presents sixteen of Brown’s minimalist videos made within the past seven years. Brown makes videos based on pregnant moments observed in her everyday life. Her filmmaking background informs the techniques used to build and sustain a sense of anticipation while emphasizing the passage of time.

The Music of Wayne Shorter

901 Ringers Handbell Choir
Crosstown Arts East Atrium 1350 Concourse Avenue, Memphis, TN, United StatesPerformance of holiday music and carols by the 901 Ringers Handbell Choir.
With up to 12 ringers, this seasoned group of musicians can perform both religious and secular pieces. Unlike an orchestra or choir in which each musician is responsible for one line of the texture, a handbell ensemble acts as one instrument, with each musician responsible for particular notes, sounding his or her assigned bells whenever that note appears in the music.
