Monthly short film screening series, presented by Indie Memphis & Crosstown Arts. This month: Ottawa Animated Shorts

Award-winning playwright and filmmaker Katori Hall will discuss her work in theatre, including penning The Mountaintop (2010 Olivier Award for Best New Play), which ran on Broadway and starred Angela Bassett and Samuel L. Jackson. She’ll discuss how she made the transition into filmmaking with her debut short film Arkabutla, and she will examine the differences and similarities in creating original work for the stage and screen, as well as how working in each discipline can greatly assist the continuing growth of an artist.

This exhibition and art sale will feature 1,000 handmade crosses created by artist Chris Nadaskay. All the proceeds from each purchase will go to Advance Memphis and the 38126 community.
