  • Open Crit

    Visual artists from all backgrounds and levels of experience are invited to present works in progress/newly finished for discussion led by an experienced facilitator. Anyone is welcome to participate in the discussion.

    Artists begin setup at 5 pm. Critique & discussion with group begins at 6 pm.

  • summer workshop: zine & bookmaking

    2 - 4:30 pm // ages 10 - 14

    this workshop gives participants the chance to write and self-publish an original “zine,” and then also to collaborate on an original story to be professionally published into a finished book.

  • Shoot & Splice: Intro to Film Lighting

    Indie Memphis and Crosstown Arts are teaming up with John Paul Clark and Firefly Grip and Electric to discuss everything from choosing the right gear to understanding the relationships between DPs, Gaffers & Key Grips.

    A free community conversation about arts education, hosted by Ballet Memphis. Spark: The Child Romantic will focus on utilizing the arts to encourage healthy relationships among Memphis youth.

    Electron, a team of Memphis-based music video directors, will be discussing the many processes and decisions that go into creating a great video.
