Artist Statement:
I’d like for my creations to remind one of the infinite energy of color, beauty, uniqueness and the unusual that is within and that surrounds all life. The foundation of my work started with colorful abstract expressionism, geometric design, black and white line work, and bold metallic silhouettes. My work is stamped bold and loud with color, including every color in the spectrum. As my work and life’s experiences evolved throughout the years, I took a strong interest in Afro-futurism, digital art,  representing and illustrating  Black women, and Black culture. Throughout my journey, as I continue to evolve and change, so does my art. My latest body of work is  part of a two-part series I call eternal queen and the galactic queen collection. As a child, I was always intrigued with the stars, the sky, and  the planets in the galaxies. As my journey into true self love and acceptance continues, I am proud of who I am as a Black woman and influence for other Black girls, women, and everyone who desires to be proud of whom and what they embody. As I collide both realistic and imaginative worlds together, I hope to continue to inspire others to create, celebrate their uniqueness, and curate their own colorful and creative worlds.

Artist Bio:
I began creatively expressing my dreams and visions artistically starting at the tender age of 8 when I developed my love of singing and dance. Later on, I grew to develop my skills and passion around creative and visual artist as a designer, singer, and model. I was born in Memphis Tennessee in the Orange Mound community and raised in Los Angeles County, California. I am currently a visual/interior designer full time and a mother of two young boys. I have had murals displayed at local galleries, universities, restaurants, and major retailers. I still continue to dabble in music and dance from time to time.  I am inspired to create by organically living through life’s experiences and adventures, also keeping a youthful and childlike curiosity at heart.  My artist nickname was inspired by my favorite color, Violet, and violet represents the most creative aura one can embody. I do believe every woman is a queen within her own right. One of my main focuses is to inspire black women and inspire everyone to celebrate their uniqueness. I was drawn to illustrate this in my creations and attach that to the frequency of my business name — Ultra Violet Queen Art, also known as Ultraviolet Aesthetics. I  work with acrylic paint, markers, watercolor, digital, and other various mixed media from time to time. I also create textile designs and custom-design clothing. I am a full-time and independent visual/interior designer currently located in Memphis, Tennessee.
