Natalie Minik
Natalie Minik is a multimedia documentary artist, curator, and co-founder of the online publication, OneOneThousand.org | A Publication of Southern Photography. Her work explores personal narratives and regional identity, observing how certain moments of personal or communal experience become foundational to who we are. She uses film and video, photography, expanded cinema, and audio documentary to consider how memory is processed, revealed, and squared against the present.
Based in Cambridge, MA, Natalie teaches in the Film and Media Studies program at Tufts University.
“I see documentary as a tool to explore how events and experiences accrue emotions over time, with the process of accrual often mattering more than the initial event that incited it.”
