Crosstown Arts Film Series Presents: Black Christmas

As Christmas break begins, the women of a university sorority house receive a series of increasingly disturbing telephone calls. When one of their friends disappears, the remaining students begin to suspect that the danger may be much closer than anyone realizes. Directed by Bob Clark, Black Christmas helped establish many of the conventions that would later define the slasher film. Its shadowy cinematography, unsettling sound design, and relentless sense of isolation make it one of the most influential and unnerving holiday horror films ever made.
