Adam Larson, saxophonist, meanwhile, adds sophisticated, improvisational flair—think John Coltrane’s expressive phrasing or Kamasi Washington’s modern, soulful edge. Their interplay is dynamic: the singer’s rhythmic, soulful melodies grounding the performance, while the saxophonist weaves in spontaneous, melodic runs, adding texture and unpredictability.
