Originally classically trained to study opera\, the skills she acquired from her Alma Mater and HBCU LeMoyne Owen College allowed her to branch out across several genres as a feature on numerous stages\, musical sets\, and news stations. \nShe soaks inspiration from artists such as Anita Baker\, Oleta Adams\, Rachelle Ferrell\, Luther Vandross\, Stevie Wonder\, Lalah Hathaway\, and Mint Condition\, just to name a few. \nThe music D’Monet writes\, she calls “Alkaline Music” – music that heals. Her intention is to connect with her audience\, giving them the space to heal\, laugh\, enjoy themselves and be free in that moment. This sound meditation journey is an ancient wellness practice for relaxation and self-care. \nThe session lasts approximately 90 minutes. You will be sitting or lying down in a comfortable setting\, closing your eyes\, and focusing on the beautiful sounds of musical instruments from around the world. You are encouraged to wear warm comfortable clothing. It is recommended to bring a yoga mat\, blankets\, pillows\, or anything else you need for your comfort. The more comfortable you are\, the deeper the experience. He’s released nine albums while fronting Will and the Bushmen\, The Bis-Quits\, Willie Sugarcapps\, and Daddy. \nKimbrough’s abundant production credits include Shemekia Copeland’s last three albums\, America’s Child\, Uncivil War\, and Done Come Too Far\, which garnered two Grammy nominations and multiple wins at the Blues Music and Living Blues Awards. \nAs a much in-demand guitarist\, Will’s played on countless and wide-ranging recording sessions\, seen the world from a stage on multiple tours with  Rodney Crowell and Emmylou Harris\, and returned to his Nashville home with an Americana Music Association Instrumentalist of the Year award in hand. \nAnd Kimbrough’s songs and/or session work have appeared on every Jimmy Buffett studio album released in the last twenty years\, from License to Chill’s “Piece of Work” to the Paul McCartney-praised and the iTunes #1\, “Bubbles Up\,” on the upcoming Equal Strain on All Parts. \nBut this special tribute show will honor Will’s relationship with one artist in particular: his dear friend and bandmate Todd Snider. The new vinyl album will be hot off the press and available at the show. \nContemporary art rock band Above Jupiter is back with their second full-length album\, and first after signing with Red Curtain Records. Described by The Memphis Flyer as “a beat-driven soundscape with equal parts slashing guitar\, skronky synth\, and cool singing that lives in a kind of timeless pop utopia\,” ‘Abscission’ expands on the sound of their self-titled debut with elements of lofi\, R&B\, nu-jazz\, and progressive influences. The result is a more mature sound\, which says a lot about a band whose members are all still in high school. \n‘Abscission’ is a conceptual album that tells the story of main characters Eleanor\, McNeil\, Evergreen\, and Elise\, with each song offering a view into the Shakespearean-style tragedy that unfolds as the album progresses. A special edition of the lilac-colored vinyl LP includes a zine booklet that tells the story through lyrics\, paintings\, and prose. \nDeparting from their first LP’s home studio produced approach\, the band knew these songs would benefit from the analog warmth of a professional studio\, and they found the perfect home at Memphis Magnetic Recording Co. All songs were tracked live in the room using the studio’s collection of vintage instruments\, giving the album a timeless sound that complements the craftsmanship of Above Jupiter’s songs.

His earliest records were influential signposts of the Lo-Fi and home-taping movement which also produced contemporaries like Smog\, Lou Barlow\, Will Oldham and the Mountain Goats. He is now widely regarded as one of the great songwriters of our generation.

Best known for his lyrical storytelling and engaging live shows\, his songs have been heard on more than a dozen TV shows in the US and abroad. His most recent single “This Is Why I Need You” reached the top 10 in 12 different countries\, and has been streamed more than 60 million times across all platforms. He has recorded live sessions for NPR and MTV Asia\, and has been featured on CNN and in Esquire Magazine. \nBeyond his music career\, Ruben is highly active in philanthropic endeavors. He is a co-founder of Generation Lyme\, a community built to empower people facing Lyme disease through sharing patient stories and hosting online Meet-ups. In addition\, he is the founder of The We Can Project\, an initiative for young students designed to help them discover their passions and give back to their communities. To date\, more than 800\,000 young people have participated. To promote the program\, he was personally invited by Hoda Kotb to perform live on The Today Show.
