DESCRIPTION:Did you know? Zine making is for everyone! No matter your skill or experience levels\, you can do it! \nCome get your zine on at this free Public All Ages Zine Making Workshop on Saturday\, July 13 from 1-3 in the Crosstown Concourse Central Atrium. \nThis class is perfect for curious beginners and experienced zine makers who just want to dedicate some time to creating something new in a collaborative and supportive environment. \nThis workshop will go over a brief intro to zine history and construction methods. Basic zine making supplies graciously provided by Crosstown Arts\, but please feel free to bring your own collage imagery\, drawings\, and/or favorite art supplies if you’d like. \nSpace is limited. Please RSVP HERE so we have an idea of how many guests to expect.

SUMMARY:Youth Zine-Making Workshop
DESCRIPTION:THIS WORKSHOP HAS REACHED CAPACITY! Please join us for Memphis Zine Fest on Friday\, July 19 though! Free and open to the public. \n\nDuring this week-long course\, students\, ages 10-18\, will learn about the origin of zines\, how to develop their ideas into a tangible product\, and how to flex their social skills muscles. At the end of the week\, students are given the opportunity to sell their wares at Memphis Zine Fest. \nTaught by local artist and Zine Fest curator Erica Qualy. \nWe provide all of the basic supplies they’ll need to get started\, they just need to bring their ideas. Classes run Monday July 15 – Friday July 19 from 2:30-5:00 pm (with the option of students sticking around and selling their wares at Zine Fest on Friday July 19 from 5-8 pm).

As always\, this is a free and all ages event\, so feel free to bring your friends\, your kids\, and your grandparents. \nDo you have some zines you’d like to sell? If you are interested in vending\, please request a booth space HERE. Booth spaces are FREE for zine makers but are limited and on a first come/first serve basis.
