Through drawings inspired by the enduring spirit of people who persevered through dehumanizing and brutal treatment\, Walker reflects on dignity\, survival\, and the determination to be free. The exhibition stands as a tribute to “our brave Women and Men” and the resilience that continues to prevail. \nIn Chromesthesia: A Piano Triptych\, Grammy-nominated pianist and composer Romain Collin\, in collaboration with filmmaker Matthew Palmer\, transforms sound into image through a deeply personal exploration of synesthesia. Inspired by his solo piano trilogy DUST\, LIVE\, and AURA\, the multimedia exhibition invites viewers into an internal landscape where sounds become shapes\, textures\, and vivid color. By placing music in dialogue with cinema and visual art\, Chromesthesia creates a space to breathe\, recollect\, and dream a little.

While the Kentucky-raised\, New Orleans-schooled\, New York-honed\, and currently Nashville-based Cowherd is best known for his long-running partnership with drummer/bandleader Brian Blade (with whom he co-founded the Grammy nominated Brian Blade and the Fellowship Band)\, he is equally at ease in the roles of musical director\, side man\, or studio wizard. Cowherd’s stellar keyboard work and singular compositional skills are driven\, simply\, by a lifelong drive to “just be a great musician.” \nIn 2013\, ArtistShare and Blue Note records released “Mercy”\, Cowherd’s first album as a leader. The record features Bill Frisell\, John Patitucci and Brian Blade. Cowherd and Blade also directed the all-star Joni Mitchell tribute “Joni 75” along with such artists as Brandi Carlile\, Glen Hansard\, Emmylou Harris\, Norah Jones\, Chaka Khan\, Diana Krall\, Kris Kristofferson\, Los Lobos with Marisoul\, Graham Nash\, Seal\, James Taylor and Rufus Wainwright. In 2017 Cowherd released “Gateway” on the exclusive “vinyl only” Newvelle record label. “Gateway” consists of seven compositions by Cowherd and one from Brian Blade\, and features Steve Cardenas and Tony Scherr. As an arranger\, Cowherd has scored for big band\, strings and symphony orchestra for Brandi Carlile\, Cassandra Wilson\, Lizz Wright\, the Fellowship Band and the Shreveport Symphony and the Loyola University Symphony Orchestra. In 2023 The Jon Cowherd Trio released “Pride & Joy”\, featuring John Patitucci\, Brian Blade\, Chris Potter\, and Alex Acuna.

Dubbed “The Prince of Blues” by WREG News\, he is known for his signature “Brand New Blues” sound\, blending traditional blues with elements of soul\, country\, hip-hop\, and modern Southern music. \nIn 2024\, Singa B won both the Beale Street Battle of the Bands and the Memphis Blues Society Blues Challenge before representing Memphis at the 2025 International Blues Challenge\, where he advanced to the semifinals. She showcases music in a way that allows her to use her creative direction skills to direct a crowd sonically. Brilli enjoys translating sonic feelings with her controller to influence the crowd to dance\, let loose and feel confident through smooth transitions and her carefully curated style. \nLola is a well rounded creative and visual artist who also takes pride in using her artistic abilities to heal her community. In 2025\, she hosted “Black Art & Black Medicine” to provide artist the tools to align their creative process with a spiritual process. As a year two public tour docent at Brooks Museum\, she values art in all forms and strives to grow her knowledge through fashion design\, sonic healing\, and creative direction. \nLana J. is a Memphis native\, coming from a city known for its soulful music and vibrant culture. At just 13 years old\, she was accepted into the incomparable Stax Music Academy\, where she honed her skills in songwriting\, live performances\, production\, and recording. Growing up in a church-oriented environment\, Lana J. found her passion for music through singing in her hometown church and participating in the school choir. She later joined an all-female a cappella group called “Key of She\,” which provided her with opportunities to arrange music\, travel\, and perform. \nAfter graduating from Loyola University New Orleans with a degree in Popular and Commercial Music\, Lana J. began making her mark in the music industry. Her first studio recording collaboration was on the upbeat track “Rendezvous” by D-Bibbs ft. Lana J. This was followed by her debut single “Warning\,” which showcased her unique style and artistry. In April 2022\, Lana J. released her debut project titled “Breathe\,” a soothing and soulful reminder to take a moment for self-care a reenforced theme within her journey as an artist and human\, shedding light on mental health awareness and self discovery. \nShe also collaborated with classmate and producer/artsit Soto on the funky and psychedelic track “SexFruit\,” which originated from her time at Loyola University. As Lana J.’s career progressed\, she delved deeper into her thoughts and aspirations in the studio\, exploring vocal production\, songwriting\, and recording techniques. This year marks the beginning of a creative renaissance for Lana J. as she prepares to release her next project\, including the single “Take it Slow” and an EP scheduled for Summer 2024. Exciting collaborations with talented musicians and artists in her community are on the horizon\, further fueling Lana J.’s artistic journey.
