story booth, Crosstown Arts’ literary hub, collaborates with Memphis’ independent booksellers (Laurelwood Booksellers and Burke’s Book Store) to host acclaimed writers for our Visiting Writers series. In the past three years, we’ve hosted literary writers such as first-novel award winner Margaret Wrinkle, National Book Award nominee and bestselling Memphis native Alan Lightman, National Book Award-winning young adult writer Jacqueline Woodson, and international bestselling food writer Michael Pollan.
