April Program: Stage to Screen with Katori Hall
Award-winning playwright and filmmaker Katori Hall will discuss her work in theatre, including penning The Mountaintop (2010 Olivier Award for Best New Play), which ran on Broadway and starred Angela Bassett and Samuel L. Jackson. She’ll discuss how she made the transition into filmmaking with her debut short film Arkabutla, and she will examine the differences and similarities in creating original work for the stage and screen, as well as how working in each discipline can greatly assist the continuing growth of an artist.
Doors open at 6:30 p.m./panel discussion at 7 p.m. Free and open to the public. Complimentary beverages will be available.
